Ortom’s Aide Arrested By DSS In Connection With ‘Gana’ Killings

The Aide to Governor Ortom of Benue State on Community Relations is being reported by The NigerianNews to have been arrested by the Department of State Security (DSS) in connection with the spate of killing engineered by Terwase Agwaza in the Sankera axis of Zone A in Benue State.

According to sources in the DSS, the aide Tikaa Desmond also known as Senator was arrested alongside two others namely; Ada James and Joseph Ikpa, who are well-known Commanders of Terwase Agwaza also known as Gana.

The trio was arrested on an Island not far from Gbise, known to be Gana’s hideout during an operation by the Air force wing of Operation whirlwind in certain locations in Benue recently.

The arrest of Tikaa  is believed to be one of those whose confessional statements implicated the former Benue State governor Gabriel Susdwam who was arrested on Tuesday.

This further puts a dent in the governor’s acclaimed dedication to the end of violence in the state with the continued involvement of and mention of his aides as involving in these acts.

It is worthy to note however that Governor Samuel Ortom had declared Terwase Akwaza wanted with a bounty placed on his head, therefore any association of his aide to the wanted criminal puts a question mark to the governor’s seriousness.
