Omale Omale Esq has described the upcoming University of Mkar Public Lecture Themed “Benue State Open Grazing Prohibition and Establishment of Ranches Law 2017; A PANACEA for Reducing Farmers/HerdsMen Clash” as a good step towards the right direction.
Barr. Omale made this Statement at his Chambers in Makurdi the Capital city of Benue State on Thursday March 2018 when He welcomed a high powered delegation of the Student Executive Council, University of Mkar led by the President Comrade Joseph Nomnor who came on a courtesy visit and to officially invite Him as a Guest Public Lecturer for the Lecture. The delegation who also had the Vice President Rt Comr Acha John, Secretary General Comr Meshack Ahaa, CPC Sec Gen Comr Rotimi Goodness, and Public Relations Officer Rt Comr Bem Dagba described the idea of the proposed lecture as one born out of clear intentions with out any form of partisan or political affiliation, rather the Public lecture was an effort by the SEC to help preach peace through civil and progressive economic relationship amongst farmers and herdsmen which can only be possible in the 21st century by Ranching and also to sensitize the good people of Benue on the public policy of Ranching and its economic benefits as practiced in developed economies across the globe.
Addressing the press after the courtsey visit, Barr Omale expressed satisfaction over the level of preparation made by the SEC towards the success of the upcoming Lecture and assured the SEC of a well researched and apt paper. He encouraged and advised other student bodies to take up civil and social responsibility such as this and add value to the society as opposed to using Student groups as political thugs, and been Sycophants and willing social media stooge for the political class. Barr Omale described the Students as a major policy deciding and voting bloc in the society and as such use this numerical advantage to further make the society a better place for us all to cohabit progressively.
The Public Lecture, which is scheduled to hold on the 5th of April at the University Chapel is the first of its kind in the State since the enactment of the BENUE STATE OPEN GRAZING PROHIBITION AND ESTABLISHMENT OF RANCHES LAW 2017. It promises to be revealing as well as highly educative and is expected to bring all Prominent Sons, Daughters, Student bodies, youth bodies, church organisations as well as the farmers and herdsmen to a round table in other to further enlighten all on the importance of Ranching as a Panacea for reducing farmers and herdsmen clash in an agrarian state like Benue.
